The "shtick" kind of got tiresome to me.

As this series went on the way they filmed it got tiresome. Every scene being a video camera? I got tired of it as they kept doing this every scene, especially when the action took place where there was no camera. I mean they wanted us to believe that for 5 movies worth of action people commonly just walked around with cameras 24 hours a day and filmed every conversation they had with people. I would have been 100% ok with them transitioning to a regular Hollywood angle camera that films the actors like all other movies and went away from the security footage and hand-held camera angles. It really got old for me.

Yes, I know people that go around and film just like this. I don't know why it's such a crazy concept. I mean, characters even TALK about how weird it is IN THE MOVIE.

Well, people like to capture memories so they can revisit them whenever they want.

I do the same thing actually.

I guess you never heard of LA Beast.

And that's pretty much Life today basically, probably makes more sense if your a journalist, photographer or director, but average people do it.

I'm surprised you asked this in 2015! These days everybody records themselves doing the most uninteresting things in the world (and post it on the internet!). Like, literally. So nothing odd here.
