I saw this opening night on Southwest Louisiana, at the point where the woman gets pulled out of bed by her leg, a man jumped up and ran out of the theater screaming! Really, that happened. We all just laughed so hard at him for doing that. I don't know if he was just playing around, or if he was really that scared.

shareThe movie terrified me when I first saw it but it scared me even more that night when trying to sleep. Funny thing is when I watched it again after the DVD came out I wasn't frightened at all. I was disappointed. I don't know it was more scary in the theater where your full focus is on the movie and time shown in the corner of the screen. Or because I knew what to expect.
shareSimilar experience, but I watched it when it was released on DVD. It still had the same effect-had a hard time sleeping. Probably because I lived alone and it was the dead of winter. But took me back to the days when my parents would leave me home alone & I'd hear the stairs creaking. After watching Paranormal Activity I was like oh that's what was making all those noises(O_O).
