The original had to strip down the gore and is quite frankly....boring.
I enjoy the remake very much. It has a twist ending, good cinematography, fun 3D moments and not half-bad acting. I watch the remake every year. The original? Never want to see it again.

Same here was a great film and good to see Jensen act on the big screen same he hasn't done more horror movies.

There's a cheesy sense of fun and the 3d version is imo the best.
Jensen must be too busy filming supernatural but as a massive
fan of the show i wouldn't want him to give it up for more movies
....although a few more horrors wouldn't go amiss
Normally I don't like remakes but this one is better. That said, this isn't saying much. The first one sucked (typical 80s slasher nonsense) & this one sucked less.

I would agree. I liked the remake better than the original.
I've only watched the original once. It was ok, but not one I rush to watch again.
I've gotta disagree. While this was a cheesy and fun 3D slasher, it had none of the creepiness, first person killer shots, and valentines rhymes that made the original great. Also, as great as the kills were in this they pale in comparison to the original. Watch the original UNCUT, and you will see
