In the first season Battleaxe was quite a nice character, when she lost she was usually good natured about it, and had something good to say about the contestant who beat her. when she won she was even nicer. now she's just become plain nasty. loud agressive. she's like a female oblivion. i hope there not planning for her to become the big bad after the Big O leaves

Why not? Why should all the gladiators be all happy and nice to their opponents? In acting nasty, they add a greater competitive element to the show.
