...but this DVD didn't seem really all that impressive. Yeah, it was awesome and Megadeth is a great band, but I've seen better vids on YouTube and such. I just think they could have picked a better night to film or use.
Plus, on my copy, the bass is way too low in the mix. IDK, what are your thoughts on this show?
I have to agree, I just don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean this has been getting scores of 9/10+! I just don't get it. Megadeth are one of my all time favorite bands but this failed to capture the brilliance of their music or their stage presence. For me 6/10 @ best. I could be biased against the current line up, the magic that was Megadeth with Marty, Mick and Elfenson is gone. Dont get me wrong, Dave and current co are putting out some killer music (and the old line up was stale as a week old bottle of piss by the end. Just a shame they never captured those guys in H.D surround sound at their peak. For me, I'll just have to steer around this release and get my fix from "Arsenal of Megadeth".
shareI have to agree as well. I watched half of it this morning and just felt compelled to shut if off. Don't get me wrong, I really love Megadeth, but this concert didn't seem all that great to me.
