"Their eyes have been opened" = "We didn't really care to begin with"

I haven't had the chance to watch this show but it didn't really promote any notion that this was about indigenous people in this part of the country so I can't speak to the accuracy of the TV show's portrayal of the story line characters. If there is indeed a disproportionate amount of missing native women and this story was about that but they didn't bother to cast any native american actors OR they changed the race of the characters to white (based on what I saw in trailers) then I think their criticism is on point.

well in the serie that we clearly know of 3 girls get kidnapped (and then are found), 2 Caucasians and one transgender, ladyboy it does not absolutely mean that other missing girls (that we hear about in the serie) that went missing are not indigenous so I don't see the problem, if they had showed 30 kidnap victims and there were no indigenous girl then I would totally understand, but that out of only 3 that none are indigenous there is nothing really strange or hard to believe.

so it's basically just about those 3 girls then. Like I said, the show's trailer never implied this was about a story taking place near or in native reservation territory.

The overall look of the TV series kinda turns me off anyways, like it was something that was suppose to be airing on The CW. LOL
