How many years older is Lea supposed to be?

seriously?

reply

In the book she's 25 years older. In the film the only clue given is that Lea seems to have known Cheri's mother before he was born, so she must be at least 20 years older.

It doesn't help that Michelle Pfeiffer hardly looks very old in this film--she's still amazingly beautiful.

She is approaching "that certain age" -- very plainly stated in the opening narration.

menopause...(around 50 years of age)that's what they are referring too.. because there is a scene when she gets home late and is shivering, even though the heat is on, she asks for a fire in her room, and after covering herself in blankets she gets too hot to keep them on... those are hot-flashes/night-sweats..

so, shes about 25 years older than Cheri.
