Sequel idea

Six years after the events of the first movie, Nancy is now an investigative reporter investigating teens dying in their sleep in brutal ways across America. While investigating a case concerning a 17 year old girl called Kristen, Nancy is pulled into her dream and comes face to face with freddy for the first time in six years. Kristen explains to Nancy she has been able to pull people into her dreams since she was 7 years old. Nancy uses this to her advantage and pulls Freddy out into the real world eventually killing him What does everybody think? I hope to be a writer one day.

Well by your blantent rehash of an existing story and calling it your own you certainly have what it takes to be a Hollywood writer

LOL!! I was thinking I heard/saw that one before.

If life gives you MELONS, then you probably have DYSLEXIA.

I applaud your efforts to write, but you do know there are already a slew of sequels already made off the original Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)? Maybe make a new character? Not a Freddy Krueger story. Nightmare, Friday the 13th, Halloween and a ton of other horror movies have so many sequels and they tend to go down in quality and popularity as the part number continues. Horror movies are made and the same story is constantly retold, rebooted or reimagined--all different words for REMAKE! I was just checked IMDb as I am about to watch this version with my kids since the original was rented out and not on Netflix.

Hasn't that been done in "Dream Warriors"?

How about you make it a clever thing, where they keep the satire and sense of humor that made the original so loved. And then add in the surreal feel of the original again and maybe it would work.
