If you have a Nightmare on Elm Street film with a large budget, there would be endless opportunities to really get creative with the dream world and what Freddy could do. We started to get a taste of this with New Nightmare and Freddy vs Jason and when I heard about a remake in the works, I thought there could be some really unique and awesome things that Freddy could do given the advancements cgi has today?

Instead, we got BULLSH!T!!!!
"Freddy" wasn't even the Springwood Slasher in this pile!

Someone needs to redefine "reboot" for them. Reboot does not mean replicate the original (and do it badly). I agree. There was so much potential here, and they blew it. It was the same tired tricks all over again. Same kills (partly), same Christmas sweater, same Nancy in the bath tub, boyfriend at the window, body bag in the hall, same Chris/Tina flopping around the room. Can't they give us something new?
