What does Freddy do to his killed victims?

So after Freddy kills his victims what do you think he does with them? Do they suffer for all eternity until someone can finally kill Freddy or does Freddy just move on to his next target forgetting about them?

In the original series, he was able to absorb their souls and they kept living inside him. This was established in the third movie. (The first two didn't mention anything like that.)
In the remake, this doesn't seem to be the case. Because when he killed the guy in prison, he said that the brain keeps working five minutes after the heart has stopped beating, so he will still have some more minutes of fun with him. This implies that in this continuity, Freddy's victims won't be trapped by him after their death.

I was thinking about that too.. There were scenes that Freddy said "Souls of my children give me strength!" (that happened in #1 and in #2 also) while ripping his shirt. That didn't happen in the Remake.

Alice said that Nursery Rhyme at the end of #4 and all the souls ripped out of Freddy killing him, and they were all released and went up to Heaven.. I remember them saying over and over "Thanks Alice" and "Thank You Alice"

Nope. That was only in part 3, not in part 1 or 2.

In part 1, he simply lifted his sweater and cut himself to freak out Nancy. But there were no souls in his body.
In part 2, he just says to the people at the garden party: "You are all my children now."

It wasn't until part 3 that he mentioned souls and that they showed that he literally absorbed them.
