What a steaming pile of ....

no ... it was not even steaming, it was cold juvenile exaggerations of every bad taste and offensive idea
one could stick in this kind of movie.

i saw this with an asian friend of mine and i was actually embarassed and the blantant racism and murders,
constant shootings and clubbing and whatever else.

this kind of movie is for mentally ill sub-human psychopathic morons.

That's two movies this year I have had to walk out of.

Anyone associated with this movie should be fined, flogged and put in jail for psychological observation.

reply

Haha

I agree with every point you made, I too found this to be quite racist and also completely ridiculous, lucky I didnt pay to see it.

reply

Luckily, when I saw this crap, the theater was nearly empty. If there had been Asian or Pakistani people in the room, I would have wanted to sink through the floor...

My sympathies to you and your friend.

reply

Pakistan is in Asia.

When the door goes down blow the bulbs.

reply

Wow! Just wow! I guess theres no room for a simple fun violent action romp...Its the equivalent of buying a Big Mac & then expecting it to taste like filet mignon...Did you numbnuts not see the trailer for this film cause it pretty much let you know what type of film this was going to be...The only mentally ill sub-human psychopathic morons I see are the fools complaining in this thread...lol

reply

Yeah, sure, go out to the dump and try to make apologies like this for all the garbage ... that's a good way to burn through your life.

reply

No there really isnt room for this kind of crap, in fact it's this kind of *beep* that's killing cinema. There are 'fun action romps' out there which do retain elements of decency i.e City of God, Pulp Fiction etc etc This is just a badly made, juvenile, terribly scripted piece of wank. There are Big Macs and there's eating a $hit filled nappy out of a trash can, this, I'm afraid, is the latter. This film really needs to flop, and I hope it ends up costing the studio so much that they never even think of creating this kind of *beep* again.

But I don't WANNA learn! I wanna go out and SMASH THINGS with HAMMERS!

reply

Note to lahaine84...Relax,take a deep breath, & pop some more of your meds...This film isnt killing cinema so calm down spaz!

btw: City of God is a fun romp to you? You are seriously retarded...lol

person above- are you saying you don't agree that the more awful films are made, the lower the bar is set for future films? don't you think as america, whose biggest exports are movies and weapons, should have a higher standard?

we're churning out movies as though the resources to make them grow on trees while thousands of insightful films are rejected. to see THIS making millions... as someone who actually sees the impact films have on the world... it's embarassing.

think about it- movies are our biggest export. we're creating an image and marketing it to the world. is this what we want people to think we consider cinema?

sure, tell me i'm overthinking it or "it's just a movie." but statements like that are far more ignorant than you think, or could even comprehend. a bad movie isn't always just a bad movie. it doesn't just disappear as though it never existed.

No, of course not and to think so is foolish. First of all, it's not awful just dumb, silly and over the top; and second, lots and lots of similar films have always been made and we still have our Memento'a, Fight Club's, There Will Be Blood's, etc.

Provide some evidence or stop talking out of your ass. Which scripts have been dumped because of this film?

When people think American cinema they think Cameron, Spielberg, Scorsese, Coens and new directors like Nolan and Fincher, not some mediocre budget generic action flick that isn't even American.

No, you are not overthinking you are overreacting. There is a place for all kinds of films regardless of whether you and those two self-important belligerent dullards above think they are "bad" or not.

By the way Terminatorsky, Nolan is a British director

reply

Great post Terminatorsky...What more can I say

Note to lahaine84...Nolan is working with money coming from American movie studio so it counts...lol

btw: Actually you could claim that Luc besson is ruining french cinema with his films...oh whatever!!!

reply

Using 90% british actors and crew, I'd say most of his films are kind of...err...British

Indeed, a terrible movie. Desperately trying to be hip and cool and failing in every conceivable way. Sad that JRM plays in crap movies like this...

reply

I just watched this movie and I loved it.
It's an action comedy nothing else.
I hope they do a sequel "With Love from Hong Kong or Tokyo"

Charlie Wax is a great character

Mr Silver, you've just bought yourself a champion - Karate's Bad Boy

I am sick of all the liberal bleeding heart people who say we misunderstand muslims and shame on us for not wanting a mosque on every street corner.

Racism in movies is unacceptable unless you are at war with the people you are trying to depict...

Screw Muslims and their beliefs. I for one loved the New York skyline and I sure don't want a mosque put there in their place!~!

reply

dont mess with TEXAS

What does an anti-littering campaign have to do with this awesome movie?

QFT

I hope Travolta reprises Charlie Wax in another movie, I had a blast watching this one.

And for those calling this movie "racist" I'll have to respectfully disagree - Charlie Wax may be racist, but the movie's just a movie.
