John Travolta, Action Hero?

I have to say I had strong doubts, but he pretty much pulled it off here. Looking like a big, burly leather daddy, he managed to be plausible as his wise-ass character. As always, the terrorists all seemed to be horrible shots and couldn't hit a barn, and the "royale with cheese" line was stupid and unnecessary, but it was brainless, throwback-to-the-90's fun.

he was great
jokes, seriousness, shoot and fight

hes was always good action actor, tho some movies didn't fell right
Broken Arrow for example was screwed
Swordfish also went bit downhill

Taking of Pelham 123 wasn't bad

reply

swordfish is proper badass

maybe u need to watch it again!

Same here. Expected nothing, but he made the movie work and then some. :) I want a freaking sequel now. :) Forget Statham. :)

And that reference was excellent (and very sensible considering the context) throwback to his Pulp role.

Yeah he was pretty cool in this... He reminded me a bit of CUBA GOODING JR when he plays bad-asses cause both of them have high-pitched voices that don't really match the persona of a typical bad ass but still worked

We crash into each other, just so we can feel something.

Face Off, ffs

Exactly, and Broken Arrow.
