Cannot wait!

I wish it was out tomorrow. Hurry up already. I don't care who's making it or who's in it. Just do it. Fantastic book.

It's not my favourite of. Bryson's books but I did enjoy it as I have all of this writings, and I'm certainly intrigued by the film. I hope this happens, hits big and a movie of The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid is subsequently green lit!

It's happening and will be out in 2015...long wait, yet. Although, not much considering how painfully long has taken for this movie to be made.
I am reading, now, A Walk in the Woods and loving it. I have read, not long ago, "I am an stranger here myself" and other books of Bill Bryson's travels. He cracks me up.
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid sounds great.

I just saw the preview. Got some major "corny" and "juvenile" vibes (despite the fact that the male actors are ancient!) Will probably end up seeing the movie anyway. Be glad you read the book!

Thunderbolt Kid had me laughing out loud. The story about the licorice babies is unforgettable.

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm a huge fan of Nick Nolte and it's cool to see him team up with Redford.

I just saw the commercial...

I was watching it and all of a sudden I thought:

"It looks a lot like a walk in the..."

"...HOLY CRAP, IT IS!!!"

I must see this movie. I'm not saying they won't screw it up, but I must take that chance!

About five people have read my "A Walk in the Woods" because I enjoyed it so much I kept passing it around.

I am so looking forward to seeing this movie and am glad it is coming out tomorrow. one movie that I am actually looking forward to seeing. I saw the trailer when I was watching the pre-season game and for me the movie looks really good. I hope it does well at the theaters too

I think the book is fool proof. I read it on a plane and was laughing like a lunatic to the point that a flight attendant asked if I "needed anything." Like what, a straight jacket? Illegal sedatives? I've read most of his language books, and they're hilarious, so this will be a treat no matter who's in it.

I don't believe the ages matter either. They might make it even funnier.

from the clips I have seen so far it looks like it will be really funny and I think it will be great too

I'm in between books anyway, so I went to my shelves and found "A Walk in the Woods" which I haven't cracked open since 2002.

I read chapter 1 last night: man can that guy write!

This was my first Bryson book, probably the first of about ten.

I think I'd be a little uncomfortable being around Bill Bryson in person: he watches every little thing going on, and whenever it gets ridiculous it becomes fodder for him.

I remember in "Notes from a Small Island" he stopped off at a railway museum. The guy at the ticket window was nasty to him so he didn't get in.

-so now this man is immortalized for this!

So the next time you are out to dinner, don't say anything stupid: Bill Bryson may be sitting at the next table!
