Jeff Bridges instead of Nolte

Don't get me wrong. This picture had a lot of laughs - and much of it was from Nolte - the king of grizzled! But he was clearly cast partly to provide the cruder cheap laughs - most degradingly ones at older, larger womens' expense. Bridges might well have given more balance to the relationship with Redford while still providing a nice contrast of personalities and approaches to life.
