Loved the book...Hated the movie.
I was excited when I heard that they're making a Walk In the Woods into a movie. When I heard main characters were played by Nick Nolte and Robert Redford, I thought, have these read the book. Katz and Bryson were in their 40's, Redford & Nolte in their 70's. The movie spend far too much time "out of the woods" Katz backpack was filled with junk food, instead of needed necessities. The woman who talked & talked showed up often in the book. There were 20 mile stretches between stops, clothes were soaken wet at times. What I am trying to say, the actors were too old, the good parts were left out.
