what did you think

It was a solid card with a surprising royal rumble match. I didn't care much for the undercard. Edge/Mysterio was a solid if unspectacular match. Orton vs. Hardy was rather quick and not what I expected it to be, but ok. JBL vs Jericho was rather vicious. Ric Flair made MVP submit in a quick match....

The royal rumble match was good. Returning were a couple of old timers, and I do mean OLD, in Roddy Piper and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. Was quite the surprise. They didn't last long though.

Ironically, the last two men from 2007 started the 2008 version, and did quite well. I'm talking about the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. But in a surprise turn of events, HBK superkicked out 'Taker after over a half hour of staying in there, and immediately after, Kennedy sneaks up from behind and eliminates Michaels.

John Cena enters last in a surprise return, and proceeds to clean house and win the royal rumble, lastly eliminating #29 Triple H (who everyone thought might be winning it).

Still it was a great match, perhaps one of the better ones in a few years.

It was the worst royal rumble I'd ever seen.I stopped watching wrestling in 2003 and its really gone downhill since then(in general),but to be fair its picked up in the last year or so.

the rumble match was very dull, jimmy snuka and rowdy roddy piper couldnt really save it.My favourite rumble was 2001 it had alot of surprises and ended nicely,I think 2002 was also pretty good when mr perfect came back and a few others.

The Rumble itself was good, but I liked last year's much more. As for the other matches, Hardy/Orton was good. Edge/Mysterio felt too short and had a weird ending. Jericho/JBL and Flair/MVP were duds.
