Whats that song?

It plays after the girl gets kidnapped, when he goes back to his house. Right before he decides to go after her. It has the words You Might Need A Hero Tonight in it. I've been looking everywhere for it but can't find it. I know its by Toby Keith, but where to find it?

reply

It is not by Toby Keith, the song is "You Might Need a Hero Tonight" and the singer is James McMurtry.

I was wondering the same thing, you're telling me that is not Toby Keith? That may not be Toby's song, but that's him singing, no doubt!
Well I'm a victim of circumstance!
I thought you call it your pecker?

A never before released track "You Might Need A Hero Tonight" was written and sung by Toby Keith in the movie. Unknown if this song is on his new album "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" or not. I hope this information helps you out.

It is Toby's song. It was released ONLY on itunes if you pre-ordered That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy

Sorry, I get conflicting information and on the soundtrack for the movie it says McMurty sings this song.

I have seen other websites that say Toby Keith sings it, so who knows. Either way, I love the song!

If you like the song, check out James McMurty's other stuff, he's a great musician! And just an FYI, he's Larry McMurtry's (of Lonesome Dove & Last Picture Show fame) son.
