The first 2 episodes,

I was at Best buy today and they are giving away the first two episodes of the show. I Got to see them already! It seems that the screener didn't have the final music and stuff though because it seemed imcomplete. Overall liked the show. Buy WAY too much Dennis Hopper. He is good but after the first episode and his crazy talking style it becomes uninteresting. The show incorporates new characters, different from the movie and that is cool.I really like the illegal alien kid story, that one is unique, I think is better to watch the TV SHOW without having the MOVIE in mind. I just think that the music was off though, a lot of times it felt that the music did not go with the situation.
Does anyone else agree?

I also got the DVD's at Best Buy, overall I must say this show has lot's of potential. It does seem a little incomplete, with no fancy titles or temp music, but the first two episodes did hook me. The ending of the second episode is amazing, won't ruin it for anybody... but it is the coolest ending!

My favorite has to either be Dennis Hopper or the Immigrant from Guatemala. Hopper just seems to be having fun here and is just a really cool story line for this legend. I can see an Emmy in his future. His dialogue is so outrageous and I can see myself quoting them in the future. "Going once, going twice, sold to that crazy mother f..." lol

The Immigrant storyline is something you don't see on TV, it really helps this show stand out. You just really feel for this character and I can't wait to see his journey through the rest of the season. It starts out with him crossing the river to Mexico and really builds the excitement for what his adventure will be. His story is truly the search for the American Dream!

Other than that, the bad cop Axel was pretty cool, the limo driver, the doctor, Latino cop, and the horny cop were all really good. The doctor is so weird and the story here is so interesting. The horny cop is Ross McCall, Jennifer Love Hewitt's future hubby, he's a good actor, had never seen him in anything.

The Christine story was okay, while my least favorite would be the EMT. I agree with you about the music on the EMT hijacking, it didn't create any tension, neither did the scene where he is saving the Korean. But I love the opening title music, great stuff. I hope the logo is only temp because a big white "CRASH" is not that exciting.

The story's are fine, but all of the cop storyline's (except Axel), Christine, and EMT stuff is not that exciting or original.

The Hopper and Immigrant story's are unique and make the show a little different then just a regular cop drama on TV. If they focus more on these characters or ones like them, then I think the show will be fine.

I can't wait to see the rest of the show, what is to become of the poor little Guatemalan? I bet he ends up with a job at McDonalds, it would be so sad to see him achieve this American Dream and yet so true.

With the best buy DVD you get a $50 gift card if you order starz, which I just ordered... so make sure you get your gift card when you order starz!

Any more of Megan (the daughter of Christine) in the second episode?

But still, where'd the lighter fluid come from?

What are you guys talking about? What Immigrant from Guatemala?! I have seen the first two episodes on line and I see no Guatemalan Immigrant. The only ones I see as not being born in the US is the paramedic's dad, oh yah, and that chick's husband. Theyre the only ones with accents. The story line that you guys talkin about sounds good though.

The version I saw here in Nirobi has Dennis Hopper doing a nude dance scene -- he really has a beautiful body for an old, old man. Is that scene in the American version?

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
