Besides the obvious title, the race relations... I mean new characters, so it won't have any thing to do with the previous storyline. Will any characters return or crossover (obviously with new actors).

There is no connection so to speak to the characters in the movie. The flow of the storyline is a bit similiar though. How we as ppl roam through life and not knowing that we all have a relationship connected by series of events. As the series unfolds we will see how it all connects in the end. The series may seem "crappy" to some right now, but as it opens up it will be good I think..kind of like the movie!
