Season 2 to be the last?

I really don't hear anything about this show or know anyone that watches it. It would suck to see it go it's one of my favorite shows. Think there will be a season 3?

This is a starz show? Huh, I didn't know that, I get it on Superchannel here. I highly doubt I will watch the third season since the only reason I watched the season 2 finale ep was because of Roberts and well...you know how that ended.

I have a feeling this is it for the show. Things seemed pretty well wrapped up. Ben returned to his ex wife and with Dennis Hopper being stricken with cancer, I can't see him returning. I don't think the show would last without him.

Season I left us up in the air and several of the characters I was interested in seeing return, did not.

To me, the season 2 finale seemed to be the end of the series.

I would think so. The ratings weren't very good and to put it bluntly, season 2 was a bran muffin compared to season 1. I liked season 1 and while I watched all of season 2, waiting for something to happen, it just never did. I think they did all they could on the budget they had, but overall it was boring and pointless.

I really hope there will be a season 3 but I've not seen anything about it anywhere on the internet which leads me to believe that it's not gonna happen. Too bad, because this really was an awesome show that didn't get the credit it deserved. It's probably because the first episode of season 1 was a bit slow to develop and people didnt give it a chance, not realizing that once you got 2 or 3 episodes in, you were completely hooked.

I just wanted to say "Ding ding ding!" That list of shows is top-notch (Mad Men and True Blood especially).

I would add Burn Notice and Supernatural -- even thought they offer a different type of more lighthearted fare, neither of them are handing everything to you in a neat little package, as you say. They're smart and a little thoughtful, too.

Shape,

I think one that you left off this list is definitely The Shield... probably my favorite TV show of all time.
Crash reminded me a lot of the Shield, because Glen Mazzara produced both, they both take place in L.A., and deal with several simultaneous storylines at once. The Axel storyline in season 1 especially was a throwback to the Shield.
If anyone who likes Crash hasn't seen the Shield yet, I highly recommend it. You'll definitely like it.

Shape02:
Great list! I completely agree with you choices, and that does not bode well for Crash, since it seems like many of the shows that you and I like enjoy a premature demise.
If Crash does end, at least Starz wrapped up the story line, unlike Deadwood and Carnivale which seemed to end in midstream.

Shape,

I expected something similar to season 1, not a very slow-moving character study of uninteresting people. I like most of the shows on your list other than "Breaking Bad" and while I watched Carnivale, it really dragged at times and very dense, which is why it had a short life.

You can't compare season 2 of "Crash" to any of these shows though. I don't have any problems with people who liked it, but the question at hand in this thread is "will there be another season or was Season 2 the last". I stated my opinion and why I thought so. As to what I should go watch, what's your point there? You write as if you're some unemployed/underemployed kid who sits around trying to act smarter or more cultured than everyone else. I'm not like you, wouldn't want to be you and don't want your challenge.

Given that Dennis Hopper is supposedly on his death bed, there may not be a season three. Although, given the way the show works, they could start season 3 with a totally clean slate - all new characters and actors...

Not anymore he isn't.

Looks like this show has closed the curtains completely. Season 2 was really good too, my preferred scenes were with Dennis Hopper.

Rest in peace, Dennis.
