Annoyed at their 'Investigative Techniques'
RE: The one on History Channel
I just caught most of the "Abductions" episode and found myself annoyed at the way they either performed the investigation, or edited it all together for the show.
I'm especially referring to the segment where the gentleman had a metal object in his thigh.
First they showed the object reacts to a magnet while in his body. Then they go on to use a gauss meter and said it had a strong magnetic field. DUH! You just exposed it to a "250 pound" magnet. Most people know you can take a non-magnetic metal and temporarily magnetize it with a strong magnet.
Then they took RF readings. Well, I hate to say it, but you can pick up RF freq's off everybody. After removing the object, they tested it again for an RF signal and got nothing. Maybe they should have checked the guys leg again without the object ;P.
Although i will say, i was mildly entertained at all this.
