On the bright side...

First of all, I'm still stoked. I'll go see it even if it does suck and at least take this away from it:

It's not an American remake of the first film!

A lot of the reviews I've read are hammering on it saying it rehashes a lot of elements from the first 2 films and somewhat Americanizes it. I get the impression Tsukamoto is throwing America a bone to keep us from doing something horrendously stupid, i.e., remaking Tetsuo: The Iron Man ourselves.

Now if we could just get Hollywood to leave Videodrome and Hellraiser alone, I'll be happy.

Ironman as a comic book character existed long before this grind house horror
schtick did. Do your history, read up on Stan Lee.

The term "Iron Man" in this film series has nothing to do with those comics. It actually means literally, "Iron" "Man".

Got clue?

Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit shootin' smack...

You do your history and read up on Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo movies before making a complete and utter fool of yourself...

This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

either you're a well trained troll or you have no culture.

It's not an American remake by a long shot. It just happens to be about an expatriate in Japan (of which I am one).
