What was the film shot on and what lenses did he use?

Does anyone know what camera Tsukamoto used to film this? And what sort of lenses he used to film the ultra fast zoom ins and outs?

reply

i would assume it was ultra 16 as for lenses and camera model i don't have a clue

hear is what wiki sez on ultra 16mm im normally pretty good at guessing what film format films were shot on but im no expert on the subject

Ultra 16 mm

A variation of the Super 16 format is the DIY-crafted "Ultra-16", which is formed by widening the gate of a standard 16 mm camera to expose the area between the perforations. The placement of the perforations on a standard strip of 16 mm film (to the left of the division between frames) allows for use of this normally unexposed area. The Ultra-16 format, with frame dimensions of 11.66 mm by 6.15 mm, allows for a frame size between those of standard 16 mm and Super 16 while avoiding the expense of converting a 16 mm camera to Super 16, the lens requirements of Super 16 cameras, and the image vignetting caused by traditional 16 mm cameras. Thus, standard 16 mm optics may be used to achieve a wider image. The image readily converts to NTSC/PAL (1.33 ratio), HDTV (1.78 ratio) and to 35 mm film (1.85 ratio), using either both the full vertical frame or the full width (intersprocket) frame, depending upon application.

or it could of been shot on some kind HD video format it would of been something small and light

ether ultra 16 or HD digital cam there isn't much chance it was shot on anything else

This was shot on some sort of digital camera. There are massive amounts of Rolling Shutter distortions.
