Happy's a 'Hooker'?? What?

After Happy wakes up on the mattress she says she's late for work and that she's a 'hooker'!? Is this correct? did I hear correctly? Then the Brian character says he guessed so...?
She then says she 'works for her sister, kind of', but we then see her as a kind of runner for her sister's production company??
Is hooker another word for runner in the U.S.?
If she is a prostitute her 'profession' is never mentioned or alluded to again..?

Can't find anything to do with this on the discussion boards, so any help would be appreciated before I properly crit the rest of the film, Thanks.

My brain won't actually allow it's self to see/believe Zooey cast as a prostitute, strange...

Pretty sure it's a joke ;P. But her character does sleep around. If nothing more, she's a slut.

In the US (and other 1st world countries) the definition of the term "prostitute" is challenged, often used in the sense that you sell your soul to succeed in a capitalist society, the same way a street hooker would sell his/her body.

I still believe that peace and plenty and happiness can be worked out some way. I am a fool.
