What did the neighbor see out of the window?

What did the neighbor see out of the window the night that Katy went missing??

reply

I wondered the same thing, I backed dvd up and looked a couple times and I could make out nothing either.

It was a blue light in the basement. There were reports of that after she went missing. It's in the commentary with Robert (super creepy guy) and the director.

See, I thought it was the fact that Robert had the window covered with a shade or something. Maybe that wasn't normal and so it looked like he was hiding something.

I don't think that there was really anything for her to see. Maybe just the fact that the light was on and someone was in the basement so late at night made her, and us, feel really uneasy about it.

I wonder if the neighbor had any worries about Durst and his wife before that night. She seemed like she was suspicious when she was looking out the window. I wonder what her testimony was of the whole thing. Does anyone know if the dog disappeared too or was that just some creative freedom with the plot?

reply

David killed the dog, whose skeleton they found later on. I don't know what the neighbor saw. It wasn't clear, except that the light was on.

Neighbour just saw the Katy's Car and so a witness that Katy was in the house the night before she was reported as missing.

reply

The real neighbor testified at his trial. She said that the night Katie went missing she saw a light on in the crawl space of his house.

Am I the only one who saw some patterns drawn on the glass??

I backed up the stream on Netflix, and I can make out a dark line down the cement base below the basement window. I took that to be a stream of blood oozing out. But I guess that was my creativity, since no blood was found? If the house was even thoroughly searched, and surely she would've reported that.

I can't believe I get to answer this question!

The blue light? The pattern on the glass?

I thought it was the blue bandana from the dead dog covering the window!

What do you guys think?

From the Trivia section:

''The neighbour who wakes in the night that Marks' wife disappears and is creeped out by seeing something unusual in the Marks' basement window is staring at a blue light that seems to fill that single room, in an otherwise dark house, and a shadow moving within. Blue light is used to detect blood. The implication is that someone was cleaning up a room that had somehow got widely spattered.''
