Pleasantly surprised

I wanted to see this film for a while, but didn't know how I fully would feel about it. But after seeing it I really liked it. I though the animation was quiet good, it had a good story, it was rather faithful to the games and the voices (albeit very cheesy) were not half bad.

"Overall the CGI is average" you must have had a brain tumor to make such statement. Hands down some of the best CGI iv'e seen in years - please tell me where you find better CGI "wickeido" - i was wowed all the way to the finnish line. - some of the movement was so human like that i totally forgot that it was CGI and not humans at all. this full length CGI Movie can only be compared with other movies like Ghost In The Shell ,Appleseed, Titan AE, Advent Children, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Wall-E, Ratatouile, Beowolf, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Appleseed ex machina, So Please let me know if this movie does not stand up against these giants. Being a true lover of all things made CGI i was surprised how well made the CGI and story line was - no slop job here at all and the story was easy to follow - not like other japanese animated films witch tend to put to much side stories and twist plots to follow.

For those who want to se an astonishing piece of CGI movie and loves a good plot / story - this is it..
you dont have to know the whole back story off the Resident Evil franchise or play the games to watch this flick - but off course it would help a little. i myself have only played the games once or twice and are not biased towards the franchise - i simply watched the movie like any other CGI film and did not have any problems understanding the story line at all.

but be aware like any other good movie it should be watched with dimmed lights - a big **** screen, popcorn and total silence.. avoid any of these guidelines and you will loose an opportunity to watch a well made movie.

i would give this a 10 for the CGI - 8 for a good story
