Sarsgaard deserved an Oscar nomination and Mulligan deserved to win

I can understand Peter Sarsgaard not winning, but a nomination was completely just for this performance. And Bullock winning over Mulligan. WTF were the academy smoking? Mulligan deserved that Oscar!

I totally agree! I wanted her to win so bad. Her transformation from a innocent school girl to a lost young woman was amazing.

The Blind Side is a good movie, but a little overrated. I feel like Bullock only won because it was one of the few times critics actually took her seriously.

If Carey Mulligan keeps doing amazing films, i'm sure she'll win someday.

absolutely! an amazing transformation and I completely bought her in the role as well as her relationship with Sarsgaard.

I agree, someday she will rightfully win an Oscar, this movie is only a taster of what an actress of her calibre is capable of :)
