I wouldn't read too much into it. To my mind, it seemed to be more of a comedic device and fun plot point, than anything else.
And, may I say that it was most effective, because the times when the younger son were onscreen were those when my audience laughed the most heartily!

I thought it felt a bit out of place with the rest of the movie. It didn't tie up with the other plot lines and the group dynamic between the kid, the fat neighbor, and the fat friend seemed pretty bizarre. More bizarre than just the fat fetish, which I don't care about. I didn't think the neighbor should have been at the table with everyone else in the last shot of the movie, just the friend from school.

They explained it well. It's just his thing. Everyone has a "kink". Some are just less accepted mainly because the "perv"eyors aren't out in the open about it as much as others. The Big Beautiful Women thing has been out in the open for quite a while. Just do a search for "BBW" and you'll know. People like older, younger, different sex, same sex, lycra, rubber, honey, whipped cream, door knobs, large fishing hooks... the list goes on ad infinitum.

There is nothing to explain. Either you like brussel sprouts, or you don't.

I guess I kinda get the fat fetish thing, I mean everyone has some kink in their psyche. But it would seem more understandable if it was just the plump girl from school. She was at least attractive (her face) and someone he could relate to. It almost felt like the middle-age neighbor lady was a bit of a perv, she knew the kid got off on her being oveweight and she was getting way too suggestive in buying the huge sausage at the store. That aspect of his turn-on was a real turn-off. She was just so grossly overweight and not even a pretty face, that just didn't seem plauseable to me.

She was disgusting. Plain and simple. Didn't understand the casting for one minute. Do you really need someone to be that morbidly obese to be a foil for the kid (who was the best thing about the movie)? I get it -- everyone got's a secret. But that was overkill. Highly overrated film.

This movie is about everyone having secrets. Vince Jr.'s secret was that he was into fat girls. I thought that was pretty obvious.

She was disgusting. Plain and simple.

Do we really have to do this? People have the body shape that their genetics causes them to have. You can have surgery, but that has complications. If I were morbidly obese, I wouldn't like being called "disgusting" in public. I'm assuming that the actress wasn't wearing a fat suit, which I don't know to be true.

I actually loved the character. I thought she was played by a good actor. I think the whole movie was wacky and the situations were highly improbable -- everyone had a secret that was known only to Tony -- the younger son's "feeder" fetish was his secret. I thought it was amusing and enjoyable, and I dug the neighbor.

You do understand that the bigger a person is, the bigger their stomach becomes, and the more food it takes for them to feel full? So it's kind of a catch 22.It's harder for a bigger person to eat less, if they are already overweight, because they feel more hunger because of the size of their stomach.

And, there are such things as people with slow metabolisms, who eat normally and still gain weight, just like I'm sure you know some people who eat and eat and seem to never gain weight.
I personally hated that they showed the woman and the girl sitting there eating all the time. I think that's a misrepresentation of people with weight problems.
Yes, some do stuff their faces. Some vomit it up and some don't. Overeating is an eating disorder just like bulimia or anorexia. Those two disorders are treated with respect. It's an emotional issue.
Just assuming fat people are lazy and do nothing but eat, is not only wrong a lot of the time, it's highly stereotypical.

Nothing was "up" with Vinnie's fat girl fetish. He liked what he likes and that was feeding fat girls lots of food, plain and simple. Do you have to "explain" why you're attracted to the type of girls/guys you're attracted to? So why should this movie?

people have different tastes, fetishes, things that turn them on, etc. and there is really nothing to explain.

Also, I am not sure if his fetish was sexual in nature. He liked to "feed" as it is stated in the movie, and he enjoys cooking, being in the kitchen. We never see them making out.

About BBW: Many years ago I got a message from a woman who said BBW in her subject line and I didn't know what it meant...then I saw her picture. Not so sure why big women call themselves "BBW". Athletic women don't call themselves "ABW" (athletic beautiful woman) or skinny women don't call themselves "SBW" (skinny beautiful woman). But that's a whole other subject. Loved the movie...

I noticed this too, but I assumed that the sexual aspect wasn't shown, because the subject is a little "taboo", and they didn't want to alienate the audience.

This is so weird. Why are black guys expected to like fat women? And why are white guys expected to like boney girls? I mean, white people come in all different shapes and sizes, as do black people. White guys have different preferences and so do black guys.

I think these vile stereotypes are the reason that men who do find larger women attractive don't want to be open about it. They don't want to be shamed for their preference. Thus, they're in the closet. The few ones who are open about it (those who don't care about other people's opinion), well, they are considered "fetishists", "eccentric" or "weird". Or as "losers" for not being with thin women. I guess they have less to lose, image wise? It's an understatement to say that big women get a bad rap in the media. Thus, the notion is that there must be something "wrong" with those who DO find them attractive.. It's tragic, really. Why can't people just like what they like?

Weight doesn't negate beauty (lots of gorgeous, large ladies out there), and there are lots of different men (yes, even personal trainers and male models) who find BBWs attractive. Unfortunately, it's such a taboo subject. Pretty mind boggling how much of a taboo it is, really. Also, what about the fact that many men can find both slender AND owerweight women attractive? I'm pretty sure they go under the radar. Why do people act like this is so cut and dried?

Also, if so many women today are on the chubby side, who are the majority of men going to date/have sex with? It only makes sense that it would become more normal to be attracted to a wider range of body types. After all, most women are not underweight, tall or airbrushed.

it gets a bad rap because it's repulsive. i'm not even going to go into health but just appearance it's really gross. the bigger you are the worst you smell. it cant be easy to keep yourself clean when you have a hard time reaching certain areas. and i know of some guys who do sleep with bigger girls (maybe 200 - 220 pounds?) because they're easier and do freakier stuff in bed, and these guys/guy say it's smells down their.

if it gets to that point where guys have a hard time finding women who are in shape, they might have to settle. which sucks

Nah. People like what they like. Some of the most beautiful women I've seen have been on the larger side. Like I said, weight doesn't negate beauty (or hygiene). My impression is that your friends seem to be embarrassed for hooking up with fat girls, so they feel the need to insult them (behind their back) and make excuses for why they're having sex with them. They wouldn't be going back if they didn't like having sex with them.

I think what was weird is fetish for feeding fat girls, not being into fat girls
that girl from his school is just a girl that happens to be fat, u don't say that his sis was skinny girl
that girl from his school was pretty and not so fat like she would have health issues so I think it is not really a fetish, for me I wouldn't really like her just coz she is fat
but the other woman was weird, it wasn't a relationship bet them as she suggested he should invite the other girl over
but it was sexual I guess, he was viewing porn sites abt bbw
for me I think it shouldn't be an issue, everybody likes a different kind of women or girls, skinny or gothic or latin or blondes or tall or short girls etc...

Big girls are human beings. Being attracted to fat girls is NOT a fetish; it's just a preference. There's nothing weird or unusual about that. It's ridiculous to think of it as a fetish - especially when so many women are on the chubby side. Believe it or not, maybe most women aren't meant to be super skinny?! Also, where do you draw the line? If people want to look at it as a fetish, then surely being attracted to only skinny girls must also be a fetish! Men who like women with some meat on their bones are sometimes called chubby chasers. Maybe guys who only like skinny women should be called skeleton stalkers?

Feederism might be a fetish, but there's nothing wrong with it - as long as it's consensual.
