What makes this film good...

in my opinion is how realistic it is to human relationships. Dating and moving in with somebody can be so complex for a myriad of reasons, and I think this film portrays that so honestly. You can be with somebody for so long and be so comfortable, like the ways Molly and Greg were, yet meet somebody else and have your whole world flipped upside-down. This happens all the time in real life, and it's understandable. There's no way to know if the person you're with is the best fit or most suitable option for you, and when you find somebody else who fits better it's hard to resist that temptation.

Another thing that makes this film so great is that each character is vastly flawed, and so endlessly human. You can criticize them all so intensely, and that's true of all of us. None of them really make the smartest choices or the most optimal ones given their situations, but they all are trying; and while watching the film I kept feeling this sincerity among each character.

I just stumbled across this film on instant stream Netflix and figured it looked interesting enough to watch at 2:00am. I was pleasantly surprised. Would recommend to anyone who likes a light hearted romantic story. Worth the watch.

What makes this film good? Nothing. That's the problem.
