Nice Way to Waste an Hour
I just watched this film or the first time as it was apart of the Echo Ridge Triple Feature set(along with Doll Graveyard & Demonic Toys 2)and I wasn't expecting much seeing as this is Full Moon Entertainment and they are known for low budget quick films(I love Demonic Toys & Puppet Master). I was surprised at how grounded the film was, considering how easily campy it could have turned into. But it held itself in a serious light. I also like how the film allows you to care for Eva, so it sad when you see her character getting worse and worse. The effects are amazing, I love the close up of the Worry Doll coming out of her head, another example of how hokey the film could have been, but didn't let itself. The acting is actually done much better than I've seen in other films from this studio, which is another plus.
Saying all the positive, I will say the film isn't perfect, it has its moments where you wanna fast forward the film, mainly due to nothing happening, but you needed the character development. There's also not too much in terms of death scenes, so when they occur it really stands out. The film is short enough to not really feel like you wasted your time, but since I was enjoying the film, I would have liked another 20 minutes added in and better resolution.
Overall great fun time
