"saw the clip of the trailer it look good"

So it looks absolutely nothing like any other one of these games that's ever come out before? Because they've always been pretty bad.

I was glad to see another LSL game coming but when I read the interview with John Melchior I was a little upset. No nudity so they can mass market, and then he said he finds the word boobies offensive. Are you kidding? The whole series is about a pervert who is always trying to get laid and the EP is worried about nudity and the word boobies?

I'll still get the game hoping for some good humor, and because there is a descent cast. But still wish that John Melchior would have not been the EP for this game because it feels like Larry is selling out.

I bought the first release of LSL with my nifty Tandy 1000 T/L 2 computer back in the late eighties I think, Could be 90 or 91. It was OK but I preferred the Space Quest games by Sierra...

Point being?

John Melchior has stripped this game of everything. It plays like a bog standard 3d platformer from 10 years ago with shocking animation, game mechanics, and no jokes. Imagine Magna Cum Laude with terrible mini games, poor animation, and no filth. (Apparently very foul language is fine though).

Larry was about a loveable 40 year old pervert loser who was no good with women. This game fits into my bin quite nicely.

I should have known when it was at budget price :(

John Melchior was quoted in an interview to say the new Larry played like a game of Superbad or Animal House yet he finds the term 'boobies' offensive and has done everything to make sure the game was stripped of everything sexist.

I would say if you want a Superbad style Larry, buy the last game!! If you want a good adventure game - this isnt one!!

reply

Yeah but I wish they'd bring Al Lowe back to the team. Leisure Suit Larry 7 Love for Sail is still the funniest game I've ever played. Get Larry Laffer back too!
