History Channel or VH1 for the Thinking Man

What has this channel become? Between shows of loggers and truck drivers trying to out alpha male each other and shows that seem to speculate, and in my opinion hope for future calamity, it leaves me questioning what this has to do with history. It's like they are hoping for something terrible to happen just so they will have something to talk about. Close to 4 years ago, it happened, it was called Hurricane Katrina. What the hurricane had in common with the 9-11 attacks was that when the Christmas shopping seasons those 2 years came around, the subjects seemed to get swept under the carpet. Maybe more so with the hurricane than the attacks. Yet every week, there is new programming whose subject is "It could happen tomorrow." I wish History Channel would stick to history. Leave the speculation to Discovery and National Geographic and reality shows to all the rest.
