What is her occupation?

I didn't see any mention of it.

All she ever seemed to be doing was walking the streets and hanging out with her friend until than went sour. If she didn't have a job she should have been a complete shut in possibly before the point where she was raped as she was already seeing peoples eyes where there possibly weren't any (first conversation at the beginning of the film). Thoughts?

Also, no apparent family. No support whatsoever. Why bother throwing in the realism of having a friend of 10 years? I am trying to find some reasoning behind the story but I am coming up pretty short.
