Jeremiah

Damn, Jeremiah is the only character on this show that I really like...the rest of them are insufferable. Since he is getting the ax, maybe we can see a show with some of his home designs, Bravo??

reply

I think he'll still be around next week, whining about losing his job. Did he really think RZ was going to launch a whole new home line just to employ him? Someone who didn't really have a steady job before Rachel?

He's a strange guy. His own wardrobe choices are a bit weird. That sweater? Those hats? And how many times did he vow to 'work my ass off?' Doesn't everybody? Does that make a stylist?

Look as good looking as Jeremiah is, he is obviously horribly insecure. All this moaning and whining... seriously, did he think he was going to become CEO of this ninety year old woman's company in the span of a couple of month? Show up, do your job and hope for the best. For reasons probably only known to Bravo executives, they decided to bring in that obnoxious Joey as a full time character at the same time as they brought in this new guy. I am personally convinced all that was to create extra drama. There is no reality in reality TV after all. I mean come on, they went from super busy and short staffed to having nothing to do and hiring the unlikable best friend and moving him from New York and now, poof...not so busy anymore and the new guy needs to go (Rodger and Rachel showing how couples can become one person sometimes. Demonstrating that they can alternate between being passive aggressive and blatant a-holes amongst each other. Kind of interesting how to they keep swapping back and forth)

Not to mention that hiring a guy with no experience as a stylist knowing of his lack of experience and then not giving him the chance to learn the business is both tacky and reeks of half-assed fabricated reality TV shenanigans.

Not sure what's happening next week with Jeremiah but on the flip side, I thought it was really tacky and f-ed up to have the guy who's supposed to be your styling assistant spend the majority of his time as your interior designer. Did they pay him to be a designer? I think not. And people get paid a lot more to design homes than they do to assist on photo shoots.

The whole thing does not fit together at all.

reply

Yea, that bothered me, they were using him as an interior designer and paying him an assistant salary.

reply

I think that was the plan, Stan. I can understand Roger worrying about money, but he didn't put up a huge fight about it when she decided to rent a $20,000 a month mansion. They probably thought Jeremiah would have some connections that would get him wholesale prices on all that furniture they invested in and once they saw the bills, it was all over for him.

reply

I doubt that! Joey is so catty and jealous around him.

I don't think Jeremiah and Joey are hooking up, but Joey sure would have liked to. I remember a week or two ago on the show, Jeremiah said "I'm so far up so and so's ass right now..." and Joey looked at him flirtily and said "Mmmm...sounds fun."
i.e. Joey would love it if Jeremiah were that far up his - well you get the picture.

Jeremiah does the *raise my voice real high* thing too much. He and Taylor are alike. Work for someone for 3 years or 3 months in Jeremiah's case and then expect to get promoted to CEO. Then whine and complain when that doesn't happen. I doubt Rachel was rubbing elbows with Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani after 3 years of styling. Still, I'd rather see him than Joey queening out over Kim Kardashian and sucking down Starbucks while people around him do real work.

reply

Jeremeeah cara mia *sigh*.

reply

I too liked Jeremiah. He would have been a nice addition to the show. I am beginning to hate Joey. He is like a pms girl all the damn time (and I'm a girl so I know what that's about) And I just think Miah is so damn hot too!

reply

I also like Jeremiah. I think he is very cute and funny.

When Rodger said that Jeremiah could use his designer skills without any extra charge to them I instantly thought how dodgy.

A stylist in training would not command anywhere near what an interior designer could and it sounds like they tried to take advantage of him and also rip him off.

I doubt Rodger or Rachel would be happy if their skills were farmed out for free. Also Rodger is a pain in the arse. He bitches and moans all day and I don't think he actually does anything.

I also get annoyed that they go on and on about how short staffed they are and how they need new staff and then literally the next week they have no work for anyone.

"PC Load Letter"? What the *beep* does that mean?

reply

They definitely used him and spit him out. How convenient for them to not have any more work for him now that Rachel was about to have her baby. To me they would need him even more since she will most likely be busy with the baby.

reply

And then he goes back to do the nursery??? Something is wrong with this guy

reply

I couldn't believe they even had the nerve to call him to do that. I hated how Roger fired him, he was speaking to him almost as if it were his fault there was nothing for him to do because he had no experience as a stylist. You *beep* hired him, and then had Joey come in, who also has zero experience.

reply

My jaw dropped when I heard him say Yes to them. Like seriously? And then the 2 girls leave him behind to go to the hospital? The nerve!! I just don't see why they hired him in the first place. Especially if they planned on moving Joey from NY as well, it's like this was their plan all along, so why drag Jeremiah into it. It just seems like he was their b!tch the whole time.

reply

I think Rachel hired Jeremiah in hopes that he would fit into Brads old shoes as stylist and silly gay best friend but then Jeremiah wasn't as gay-acting and silly as Brad or Joey and his personality didn't mesh as well with her as Rachel originally thought he would...so Joey was brought to LA to fill the silly gay best friend role, which left Jeremiah in no-man's-land.

reply

First of all people, it's now Schmukaiah.

Secondly, I think Rachel just wanted some free interior design and thought it best to hire a person who does that as her assistant. It totally fits. I mean how many interior designers cost 10 dollars an hour. Perfect.

And thirdly, the balls on those two women calling the guy they just fired to ask him to go and do the nursery at the job he was just fired from. I'm surprised they can even fit into their pants. And then the brunette has the gall to say: "It's not like we fired him because he sucks." Making it sound like it was a compliment. Was she there when Rodger talked to Shumckaiah the way he did while firing him? Maybe she was behind the camera and gagged.

But what's worse is him saying yes. Shmuckiah, your backbone called, it lives in Europe now far far far away from you.

And finally, in the absence of Joey, Rodger would be next in line for filling the role of Rachel's flamboyant friend. There was no need for Schmuckiah in the first place. No, this is all about the white and off white house she wanted to put together.

And then she has the nerve to act all victimized when her employees choose to take off and start their own companies and ghhhhaaaasp act in their own slef- interests.

On the upcoming previews it looked like Jeremiah was still very much in the picture - like they'd had a change of heart and he was back in the company working in some capacity.

reply

I sure hope so. I don't know if it was just the editing- but they did not seem to give him a chance at all. They never gave him an opportunity to even try, and when they did, they sent him with Joey who takes over anything he does.

reply

I love Jeremiah! He's dedicated to his job, he's also funny and beautiful to look at. Jeremiah is actually the only thing that has kept my interest in the show this boring season.

reply

I am crazy in love with Jeremiah! It's tragic. What I wouldn't give to have him work at my office! His hair is so smooshy soft and his clothes are so cute; I'd insist to wear half of his cute boyfreindy sweaters and he looks like he smells delicious let alone he does a perfect 1000% job! He does so much for them! What is not to like about Jeremiah!? I know he is gay (I'm a straight girl) but I love him! Work would be so delightful if I had a Jeremiah to come see. omg. <3

Jeremiah's dating Nate Berkus now. They make a cute interior designing couple.
