The skinny people never gain weight

The skinny people gain 4-6lbs they've got it in their heads they're great as they are.I could gain 4lbs in a day.I crap 4lbs and they get praise for gaining it in a few weeks?.They clearly put no effort in whatsoever.

Yeah, I get what you're saying but some of their metabolism is so quick at burning calories, it's sometimes hard to gain weight. To be honest, I'm very jealous.

I can't believe that 6ft 4in guy on the last episode was only 10 stone! After "gaining" weight he was still 10 stone!

I'm incredibly jealous, too. I hate seeing so many of these thin people complain how they can't put on weight, how some have spent a fortune on weight gain products. Idiots! Can't you eat icecream and pizza every meal instead?! It's annoying how stubborn and clueless they seem.

reply

um yuck. if you really want to put on weight you want to put on healthy weight not just fat. the show's meal plans tried to make that happen that is why they weren't gaining ridiculous amounts of weight. you have to admit they all did look healthier.

Gaining weight is harder than losing weight I think, it's harder to go from eating little to having to eat a lot, in my opinion. I'd like to put on weight healthily, but it scares me too much.

Don't get me wrong, I do have high praise for them and everything. But it annoys me very much how the show always makes it seem like both of them look so much better... when really they don't look much different, it's just because they've got nicer clothes and hair and have a smile on their face. Saying that, I do think that things like that will make you look better. But still. That probably made no sense.

They've STILL LOST/GAINED WEIGHT, and when they come back you can see how much better they look whether the skinny one looks 'fuller' in the face as opposed to the concave cheeks, or the obese one having lost 3 stone, It may not be as drastic as those short term crash dieting reality shows for 500,000 dollars, but its an improvement on a long road to better health?

The problem is it's 12 weeks and not 16 or 24 weeks. The first 2 weeks of being on a diet nothing happens, then it kicks into gear.

It's just 24 weeks would be difficult for filming purposes.

It's not that simple, these people have spent their entire lives eating barely anything, they are bone skinny with a fast metabolism and a small stomach. AND most of them are genetically small framed. So they are really having a hard time pushing themselves to eat more when their stomach says no.

Just like me, as a fatty who loves food has an extremely hard time saying no to my tastebuds that love food, my brain which is just addicted to the idea of eating and my stomach which literally likes the feeling of being actually full up. The reality is we don't need to be full every meal but I'm used to that most of my life - so I'm the opposite.

Gotta put yourself in their shoes, I just wish I had trouble gaining like them, than losing :/

It all depends on the person. In most cases, there isn't one way that is "easier" losing or gaining for everyone. It's not as simple to lose weight. Neither one is necessary "easy" and most cases you can't say which is easier. Besides it all depends on the person. One person might thing gaining is easy/losing is hard and vice versa. One answer isn't right for everyone.

By no means do I think it's easy to gain weight, especially when you've been that skinny for a long time, I dont think it's as easy as just eating alot, because you dont want to do that anyway, you want to gain not super quick with all this bad food. But I don't think one answer of which is easier is always the right answer. It depends on the person.

It's not "easier" to lose weight, it takes more time for a skinny person to put on weight but that doesn't make losing weight easier. You have to work alot harder to lose weight as opposed to putting weight on. Ive done both, and while it takes more time to put on weight, especially if you do it the healthy way, it wasn't easier, it was much "harder" to lose weight, especially if you do it the healthy way as well, working out and eating right. I found there was more work to be done to lose weight. As far as working on it goes, losing weight especially a significant amount isn't easier at all then gaining weight.
