Great show!

I started watching this recently when the OWN network started airing it (even though I've never watched an episode of the Oprah show in my life), and I'm enjoying it. Anna Richardson's reports are interesting and funny, and the skinny/fat participants never give me the impression that they're putting on a show for the camera, hoping to get an agent (unlike other weight loss shows). Also, it's nice to see the point of view from both ends of the weight spectrum.

For instance, I expected all the "superskinny" people to be deliberately keeping their weight down, but there were a few surprises. One underweight guy (6'4", 144 lbs) had gotten that way because he was lazy--didn't want to take the time to cook or eat any more than necessary. On the show, he finished all the huge meals coming from the other participant's usual diet, probably because they were put right in front of him, requiring no effort on his part. I've never before heard of people being skinny due to laziness!

I personally find Anna Richardson a bit annoying, and often sending an unhealthy message in that she seems obsessed about losing weight when she looks completely normal. "Ooooh look at my flabby thighs and bum!" Um, no Anna. I think she's an attention-seeker.

I think the doctors on the show are great, especially Dr. Pixie and Dr. Christian.
