the PLOT on imdb is wrong !

it says
" A drama based on the true story a Palestinian widow who moves into a home next to the Israeli Defense Minister and threatens to have her lemon grove torn down "

The widow does not move to the house, she was there for decades! (how can she grow lemon trees if she just moved in?)
The israeli minister moves in there !

although the movie is over dramatic, it shows the very truth of what's happening there. People stealing the land of others, and using security as an escuse to steal more land, which triggers hatred ...

peace,

Nobody was stealing land from anybody else.

The Israeli minister and IDF razed the lemon trees for security reasons, but the land was still hers.

Regardless of whether or not you support the Israeli government's decision in that situation (and I personally did not, there were other methods of ensuring security; destroying her glorious ancient-old lemon trees was clearly not a method), in no way whatsoever did razing the lemon groves equate to Israel stealing the land.

People propagating lies about what occurs triggers hatred.

Literally true, but if I burn your car, you can't use it, just as surely as if I did steal it. Anyway, whose land was the wall built on? Not on the government minister's side, was it?

It was built on Israeli land, as per the UN Resolution & the aftermath.

Those who study history are doomed to watch others repeat it.

Could this film be more overblown dramatic and one sided. Figure it out, in this country we use eminent domain to force people out of their homes to build roads, schools and even commercial properties if the municipality believes that a strip mall will generate more tax revenue than existing homes. Also do you think the Feds or the Secret Service would act any differently if property adjacent to the Bush ranch in Crawford Texas or Cheney’s home posed a surveillance or security problem? Also tell me where else in the entire Middle East would a person with a grievance against the government have access to courts, due process, compensation for appropriated property and a free press to air grievances against the government. Do you think that Assad in Syria or the Palestinian Authority, for that matter, would offer compensation, allow any public grievance or allow access to any due process? An entire neighborhood of homes near where I live was condemned, the owners forced to sell, weather they liked it or not, and the homes, torn down so that the city could build its tax base with a strip mall. So please spare me the poor downtrodden grim Palestinian widow. To make this into some kind of dramatic David and Goliath story rather than the kind of ordinary unfortunate event that occurs regularly in this country and every Democracy is bogus and intellectually dishonest. There are legitimate issues regarding Israeli/ Palestinian relations but this is not one of them and this grim old lady should just take the money and get over it already-it could happen to you or me any day right here in the U.S

Pity you people in the US can be forced to sell their land/houses even if they won't.
However I need to correct you. Most of the world think correctly that Israel is stealing the palestinian land with different excuses (security and others) and this movie show just a piece of this. One of the most ironic moments is after the israeli fenced the lemon trees forbidding their legitimate owner to enter and irrigates them, at a party they realized they forgotten the lemons and sent soldiers to steal them...shame on them!!!
