Anyone on this board involved in roller derby?

I have been a Non Skating Official (NSO) for 5 years for the team in my area. I originally started out as a fan who showed up at all the bouts. One of the female NSOs approached me about helping out. That was in 2008. In 2009, I was training to be a referee, but, due to financial issues, I had to stick to being just an NSO. A men's team just got put together in my area, and with 5 years experience on my resume, I got approached about joining. I just did my first scrimmage in late November of this year.
