Just because you live w/ a roof over your head ...

... doesn't mean your life is any more stable, or "happy" than ... anyone's who's run away!

Such was what I took away from having seen this film.

2) Also: Who else wished there were subtitles for the English portions of the film? Man, I sure did! The dialects were pretty difficult to understand much of the time, for me, and the projectionist jacked up the volume for us, as well, hoping that doing so would make the English more comprehensible.

Tom Turgoose is such a sad-sack looking young man, isn't he? His face just BEGS to play down-and-outers. His presence before the cameras is so natural, and his performances suit his abilities.
