Terry Hienry

Does anyone know why Martek's Arsenal jersey was spelled this way? Was it just a goof or is it an inside joke? Some affectionate nickname for Thierry given by the Arsenal faithful? I'm baffled.

He was selling 2nd hand stuff. so he gave that to him for free because it was spelt this way. no hardcore english arsenal fan would buy it cos of its mispelling.

Contrary to some of the other responses, it isn't just a mis-spelling. It's a counterfeit shirt alright, but the 'Terry Henry' is intentional - it's a comedic nickname given by some Arsenal supporters to their former number 14, I've heard it used a few times in conversation. It's just a play on the Anglicising of French words.

It's just suggesting that the goods he has in garage are dodgy and nothing more. They are painting that guy to be Del Boy character. Terry Henry might be used in conversation but nobody would ever deliberately have it printed on a shirt as it would look like a mistake. I think you are looking into things a little too deeply.

I've known alot of Arsenal fans who pronounced his name "Terry Henry" as a combination of language differences, joking, and affectionate homage. It certainly isn't out of the question to see "Terry Henry" on the back of an Arsenal shirt, and in fact I think I have.

I've seen plenty of 'I 8 Spurs,' 'Cashley 3 Cu*t,' 'Gooner 4 Life,' and the like on matchdays. Football fans can do tongue in cheek too, you know
