i love this game. but theres something im missing, maybe i didnt pay attention to a certain scene but did it every say what happened to his dad? for a while it was talking about him and then it switched to talking about his mom. i started to think diviculous was his dad but i dont see how thats possible because in the game it says he found his belt buckle in his dads attic after he died. so im a little confused on that part.

Basically, Riggnarok (or however you spell that), and Succoria both travelled through time (my guess is that they used the Ormagoden amulet) to the "future" (our time) and eventually fell in love and produced Eddie. They either fell in love before or after travelling forward but I'm not too sure of that.
Succoria dies during/just after giving birth to Eddie, so Riggnarok looks after him until he eventually dies (presumabely of old age as Eddie doesn't mention any suspicious goings on regarding his death).

shareNope, though you might be thinking of Ophelia's mother perhaps? She gets a couple of mentions over the game, due to her part in the Black Tear Rebellion.

You need to find the Artifact's of Legend to find out the entire story.
When the original Black Tear Rebellion destroyed itself, Riggnarok set off to kill the Demon Emperor who performed a ritual that would allow her to go forward in time to ensure demonic dominance for all time. Once she had completed her mission she would be able to return to the Age of Metal with the Idol of Ormagöden. Amongst the slaves she took with her was a disguised Riggnarok.
However when she reached the modern age she discovered that the Tainted Coil was non-existant and humans had inherited the Titan's legacy. Unwilling to go back to her own time and lead the Coil with the knowledge that they were doomed, she freed her slaves and retreated into a cave. Although he had originally planned to kill her, Riggnarok was unable to slay the broken Empress and instead took care of her. Eventually setting aside their war, prejudices and taboos, they fell in love and eventually had Eddie.
Sadly Succoria was weakened by the birth and died soon after. Riggnarok raised Eddie without knowledge of his former life and when he died, Eddie found the Idol of Ormagöden which he mistook for a belt buckle. And that's the backstory till the start of the game.
