It has already been stated here, but rarely do I feel compelled to comment on such bad acting. Paula Patton is beautiful but what makes her or anyone financially backing movies think she can act? Even a tiny bit. Her "emotions" are so over exaggerated and phony. My little 13 year old granddaughter can act better than this! Can't believe the movie got more than a "2" rating. Gross!
shareYeah, I agree, she never could act. Looks like another re-hash of Janet Jackson. Some black woman getting by in Hollywood on looks and/or name-recognition. Jill Scott isn't too far behind herself.

Paula Patton was just too old for this role, very similar to how I felt about Jumping the Broom. Running zanily all over the map, hiding, playing coy...all things a younger actress might have pulled off better. PP should stay away from comedies; they're not her strong suit.

She's done better in other films. I don't know what she was thinking here. She kept smiling in the most awkward moments I don't get it.
