netflix streaming cuts off the movie when Danny and his step-mom are leaving in the car. Can someone please summarize what happens after that? Thanks!
shareThe scene of them in the car fades to a nighttime shot of the house at #46, and a woman begins more background narration describing how she "knows" of the real terrible things that have happened in that house (with some specifics about various murders and so on). Then the camera moves through the neighborhood to Suzy's house where we see that the narrator's voice is that of Suzy's mother, who is standing at her own living room window looking through the curtains much as Jennifer had done and intoning on about how she will do whatever is necessary to protect the neighborhood from all the evil that threatens it. Like so much of this movie, this episode seemed to be trying to hint at or promise something with nothing to come of it. Now, it seems to be Suzy's mother who is somehow causing terrible things to happen, as though she were at the center of the "mystery." Unfortunately, the movie's already over and she had nothing to do with what happened in it (except to make her daughter even more of a bitch than she already was), so why is this even here???? Meh . . .
