shareI honestly thought this show looked quite unfunny from the commercials, but I decided to watch an entire episode and I was surprised by how entertained I was. The humor is subtle in a way, because it might be perceived as humor that lacks wittiness, class or style - and it does seem at first to lack coordination, but give it a chance and you'll sort of get in tune with the pace of the humor, and then you'll realize there's this sort of well-calculated hidden layer of improvised humor, where Peter and Pat seem to really bump well off of each other. I do think indeed that it is misunderstood.
Alternatively, some people just might not share the same sense of humor.
however, 59 votes on IMDB is hardly a determinant of this programs worth in comedy programming. I hope the show continues, I'm willing to watch more episodes provided they're as funny as the one I saw recently.
I like that you think anyone who doesn't find the show funny just doesn't 'get it'. I don't think it's a question of understanding, it's a question of funny or not funny, and this show is not funny at all. From reading these boards and talking to people I get the impression most people share that opinion.

shareI'm pretty sure I got the humour of the show but the catch-22 is, that people that actually watch shows like Good Morning America take them seriously and those that see them for what they are, which is for the most part, inane fluff probably wouldn't watch this show, so the demographic for Good Morning World was tiny so little wonder it never took off. Lampooning morning "news" shows was an original idea and they deserve credit for that if nothing else. The hosts of Good Morning World did a good job of a couple of overly cheerful morons but I never got the point of the phony tans.
shareI love this show, but my girlfriend and brother always ask me why I am fascinated by it, quite a superb show with humor that only intelligent people will understand, lawls!
