This May Be the Most Depressing Film Ever Mad

Yes, I know it's supposedly autobiographical, but the fact that not one single good thing happens doesn't ring true. The lack of any levity really made me dislike this film. There were only two characters to really root for - Kari and Anna. There was not one redeeming male in the entire movie.

Does a movie have to have a rootable character per se?

Twp things: 1) This is NOT the most depressing film. That prize goes to SHELTER about a homeless couple on the streets of NYC. Man. If you need to cry, check it out on Netflix. 2) Omar was a decent guy

You should also see 'Where Children Play'. The actress who plays young Kari plays in this movie too. It's sad too but like you said Kari made it out! So good!
