Outstanding technical special effect

Special effects have come a long way, especially CGI. SPOILER ALERT! In one scene, paranormal researcher, Mary Florescu (Sophie Ward) awakens one night in the haunted house, after sleeping with her test subject male. Suddenly you see the imprint of an invisible hand on her face, preventing her from speaking. You wonder how did the technical crew do that? I presume it's the latest technical advance in CGI.
That's impressive. A studio is contemplating remaking the 1981 horror film, "The Entity". The studio was probably wondering how to update the special effects and leave behind the hard-to-see wires, air hoses, and prosthetic puppet torsos and breasts. In this case, CGI might be far better and way cheaper.

I don't know man. The hand print and face getting pulled off FX were pretty damn good but there were a lot of horrendous FX too, especially the CGI ones.
