Where is this filmed?

I thought maybe Ireland/Scotland? Help me here and remember I am a yank so go easy.

It's filmed in Edinburgh, Scotland. All of Clive's 'Books Of Blood' stories were written whilst he was living in England so the production thought it fitting not to set it somewhere in Britain.

I don't get why him having written the books in England means they would want to film it outside of Britain, but if they did, they certainly made a hash of it since Scotland obviously IS a part of Britain.

Now let's go bury this dead hooker.

Some of it is filmed in Glasgow, but for the majority it's Edinburgh's old town. The producers liked the idea of filming in a place with a real gothic look and gory history to begin with. Edinburgh is supposedly one of the most haunted cities in Europe so it made sense to them.

Edinburgh rocks.

The diner at the start is west of the Kincardine bridge, which came as a surprise when I stumbled over this as I thought it was an american film and that is 10 miles from my house!

Part of it was filmed on York Place, in Edinburgh. I was living on that street at the time. One evening, walking home, I saw trailers, cameras, etc. around the street. I googled it and found out they were filming 'Book of Blood'. Very exciting because I am a big Clive Barker fan. I'm sure they were very busy, though, so I didn't bother the film crew by asking any questions. I still haven't seen the movie...I'd better order the DVD on Amazon!
