Creepy Film

I thought this flick was pretty creepy. It had some pacing issues, but all in all, a very macabre and original story/film.

Clive Barker stories aren't really "scary". They're kind of -- what's the word I'm looking for -- Dreadful. He leaves you feeling uneasy - in a horrific way of course.

So, I think it was "creepy" for those reasons. It made me squirm. I didn't jump out of my underpants because of suspense, but I was left affected.

Again, not a great film, but creepy.

Creepy is a good word for this film. Movies rarely scare me anymore, but if a horror film maintains my interest and builds a reasonable amount of suspense, I consider it a success. This has tremendous atmosphere and strong performances, and it ends on a philosophical note that left me thinking.

I completely agree. Most movies don't scare me as bad as they do my boyfriend but... this movie kept me on the edge of my seat. There were parts where it was slow but overall it kept you wanting more. I mean ghosts are creepy because of the fact that we all wonder about the afterlife therefor it leaves us almost not wanting to know. I felt bad for Simon. Although he was cocky and a turn off as far as the attitude goes, he still didn't deserve what he got. And I can't believe the woman ended up doing what she did to him. Couldn't she have went and had a pig skinned or something? I mean that was insane. Well actually I remember saying she was one crazy biotch so I guess I can't put it past her for what she did.

Few films are scary the older we get. I think it would be somewhat accurate to say that when most people think about movies that have scared them, they usually recall movies from their youth.

Ghoulies scared the *beep* out of me when I was 6, but is highly amusing to me now.

But Book Of Blood is certainly creepy. There are some wonderful images in there and the overall tone of the movie is heavy and dreadful. I find most of Barker's work (books and the good movies) to be very pure and primal. He writes of horror in a way that is incredibly real while being based in fantasy.
