There have been rumours of a third movie, set in the 1980s — any news?

That would be soooo gorgeous !

I hope they do a third one, but jumping to the 80s seems like they would miss the potential of at least doing one in the 70s (muscle car chases and 70s terrorists)

I agree. I think they should do a 70s era before the succeeding decades.

The director said that all the parties involved would love to do a sequel. They're just waiting for the right timing. But it seems that it's very likely.

Yes, production has wrapped up, and it is supposed to be released this year. It had a different director.
The English title is "From Africa With Love," or something like that.
