Yes, but the characters in the show are supposed to be ordinary, everyday people. It's kind of strange to see your everyday woman take off her clothes and see her completely shaved. It's unrealistic, but hot at the same time.

Well in a bikini, it's ok for women to remove the pubic hairs in the side to prevent them from sticking out. I'm sure all women do that. What shocks me is that they remove ALL their hair just like the women in Co-ed Confidential. That must be a lot of work.

So now, I notice in porn, men shave as well. So is it a fad for men to shave down there too? If it is, let me know so I can get to work asap.
It looks nicer I think, it smells a _lot_ better, it's no hair in your mouth when having oral sex. So that's quite a few good reasons even for the ordinary girls to do it. And I'm in my mid 30s, so not that young ;). But it's also very common, in Sweden at least, for men to shave it all off. Once I did it there is just no going back. And that even with the few minutes it takes with shaving every day. So far I never heard a girl say she prefers a hairy guy either. Much for the same reasons.
No offended meant, but I read that an intercause in US in general is 7 minutes, and 30-40 minutes (can't remember exact right now) in Sweden, and 4 times as often. Maybe the shaving thing helps for wanting to do all that extra? :)

Actually Stooge, MOST women today do shave down there. They are either completely shaved or partially shaved (down to a "landing strip"). So this show is very realistic that way. What is totally unrealistic is these Hollywood movies which, in the rare cases where we actually get to see a bottomless girl, portray the woman with a full bush. That is ridiculous, since most girls are shaved nowadays, but Hollywood does it in order to avoid showing any vagina. Often, if the actress is fully shaved, they make her wear a "merkin patch". A "merkin patch" is a patch of fake pubic hair to cover the area so that no actual vagina can be seen. This is being done on the cable tv series called Spartacus. It's unfair how Hollywood will show men's penises but NEVER a woman's actual vagina. Women always have pubic hair and keep their legs together to avoid showing any of the vagina. Screw Hollywood and screw the MPAA!

Young, or single, sexually active women in the major urban centers are likely to be clean, or near clean, shaven. However the vast majority of this country does not live in LA, NYC (though I live here), Miami, etc. The average American woman spends most of her days with a full bush.
That's a load of crap. Most women are not shaved. A lot of women do, especially young women, but they are still in the vast minority of women who take the time, or spend the money, to have their public hair either partially or completely removed. The vast majority of women the world over are not sporting shaved pussies. That's like saying most men are circumcised, even though over 70% of the men on this planet have intact foreskin.

A lot of it has to do with the types of bikinis and underwear sold now. Imagine, a woman walking down the beach wearing a thong, with tons of pubic hair sticking out? Even on shows like Miami Vice, back in the 80's the swimsuits were revealing, and no hair showed. As bathing suits get more revealing, the woman is required to shave, if she does not want to show any hair.
So it's also cultural as our society begins to allow a woman to show more of her body down there.
